I am a photographer based in Massachusetts, USA. I do fine art photography focused on landscapes and nature.

I grew up in Mumbai, India and now live in Massachusetts, USA. Since my early childhood I have been making images, I started off sketching & painting but fell in love with photography.

I have a technology background and started photography with digital SLR cameras but was always drawn to film cameras. During the pandemic, I started to explore the woods near my house to deal with the shut downs. My mom, in India, got seriously ill and passed away. I didn’t get to see her.

In the midst of this loss, I started to shoot with a simple film toy camera called the Holga which allows for only twelve frames per roll. With this camera, there is an element of serendipity, what I see and what the camera captures are not the same. This was magic. It let me pause, breathe and to be fully present in the moment for those twelve shots. It allowed me to capture an impressionistic softness, and the pictures have become an ephemeral elegy to the memories of my mother. I fell in love with film cameras, started playing with different film cameras such as the TLR Yashica 124 Mat-G camera.

I spend a lot of time with technology since I have degrees in Engineering and build software, conversely I am drawn to analog, tactile experiences where things feel more tangible than the bits and bytes I love. So I print my film photographs and gold leaf them with multifarious metal leafs - 22K yellow gold, 21K red gold, 21 K moon gold and more.

Among my other alternative photography adventures, I am currently exploring image making with cyanotypes & lumens. I will be sharing those on this site soon.
